Announcing our fundraising totals this week was really exciting. We have raised over $90,000 from friends, family, and people like you. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far together. Thank you so much for your support!
What we did notice is that while we have decided to run without the financial backing of special interests, like big developers, our opponents have not made that choice. It means that they are raising more money in big chunks from developers.
Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against developers. I used to be a commercial real estate lawyer at a global law firm. And this might seem like a small difference among candidates, but it’s really important.
Put simply: it’s a conflict of interest for any member of the Board of Supervisors to take contributions from developers when we have an affordable and workforce housing crisis in Fairfax. We need impartial decisions made on the future growth of our county. You are our special interests – not developers.
We want to represent you – the voters – and we are glad to have your support.
